Samyak Darshan to everyone
Though we were born into the Jain religion, we were in a state where we did not truly understand what real Jain Dharma is. We often wondered whether external rituals alone constitute Dharma.
At that time, we had the opportunity to come to Kanchipuram, where Shri Bharata Chakravarthi Shastriar and Shri Jambu Kumar Shastriar conducted philosophy classes. These classes gave us a new awareness. Subsequently, we enrolled in a correspondence course in philosophy conducted by the Acharya Kundakunda Center.
Later, along with about 15 sisters, we gathered at the temple and continued studying through correspondence lessons, reading texts such as “Dundubhi” and “Malar Mazhai.”
Now, we have been blessed with the great fortune of studying Parmagam Honours Course, which serves as a dawn that dispels our inner darkness and as a growing light that illuminates our path. The course begins from the very basics, and Shri Jambu Kumar Shastriar explains the concepts with great clarity. The efforts of Shri Ravichandran, who organizes the classes well and continuously encourages us, have been a strong support to us.
Through this journey, we have begun to truly understand what Dharma is and what the path to liberation (Moksha Marga) means.
We have come to understand through the Parmagam that the true nature of a substance itself is Dharma, and that realizing the principles (tattvas) as they truly are is the path leading to Moksha. Only by embracing the Three Jewels (Right Faith, Right Knowledge, and Right Conduct) can one walk on this path. We must attain inner spiritual experience (Atma Anubhuti), and for that, discriminative knowledge (Bheda Vijnana) and continuous practice of self-study (Swadhyaya) are essential.
We have also learned that these must be practiced sincerely. The time spent on external activities has reduced, and we now spend our time meaningfully by repeatedly listening to the recorded class explanations, writing them down, and constantly reflecting upon those teachings.
I have deeply realized that neither good nor bad comes from others. After studying Kramabaddha Paryaya, equanimity (Samata Bhava) has increased, while anger and agitation have reduced. Attachment and aversion towards desirable and undesirable situations (Ishta Viyoga and Anishta Samyoga) are gradually decreasing. Even in unfavorable situations, I am trying to remain free from mental disturbance.
Whenever I have the darshan of Bhagavan, I feel a deep aspiration to follow the path shown by Him and attain eternal bliss. I am making an effort to reduce the time spent thinking only about worldly life and instead engage more in righteous and spiritual contemplation.
I consider joining this course to be the result of great merit (Punya). My heartfelt gratitude goes to the institution Practical Jainism that conducts this program for the benefit of all, and to Madam Swānubhūti for making it possible.

After joining the Parmagam classes, I have observed several changes within myself.
Through the Agamas, I have been able to understand, to some extent, the noble and exalted qualities of Bhagavan, and I am filled with a sense of awe.
I bow in reverence to the greatness of Jinavani (the divine teachings of the Jinas).
At times, I deeply feel that this body is not “me”; the soul alone is my true self. I engage in self-reflection and introspection.
A sense of equanimity (Samata Bhava) is gradually arising within me, and my anger is diminishing.
I am making a conscious effort to avoid criticizing others and to refrain from unnecessary talk.
Further, after studying Kramabaddha Paryaya, I have developed a firm conviction that whatever is meant to happen will happen at the appropriate time. As a result, Artha and Raudra Dhyana (disturbed and negative mental states) have significantly reduced.
Overall, I have gained greater awareness in my thoughts, words, and actions.
My heart now seeks peace.
I offer my heartfelt gratitude and reverence to all the noble souls who nurture and guide the path of Dharma.
